Europe has been home for a decade in spite of my unshakable, albeit light, American accent. Along the journey from Missouri to China through France and Hungary to Spain, hosts and colleagues sparked a vision of helping this world get along better by amplifying the light we shine through the prism of crystal-clear words.
- Master's degree in Translation Studies at Barcelona's Universitat Pompeu Fabra
- B.S. in Linguistics from Truman State University, (MO) USA
I'm a professional member of:
Asociación española de traductores, correctores e intérpretes (ASETRAD)
Mediterranean Editors and Translators (MET)
Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP)
The lifeblood of La Rioja, my adopted home, has uncovered a personal passion that has inspired me to pursue specialized training in wine and the culinary arts, including:
- AulaSIC's master's course in specialized translation on wine and the culinary arts
- advanced courses in wine tasting organized by the Unión Española de Catadores wine tasting association (in Spanish)
